A domain record is where you intent to add a tracking script or embed a form, survey, landing page or a subscription management page. Domain records are used in conjunction with the tracking script to track web events. To set up the domain we have to go to ClickDimensions settings and click on Domains
From here you can see the domain records that you might already have or create a new one.
The domain record contains 3 fields, the Domain, the CNAME and the Enable Opt-out. The Domain should not contain the https or www prefix in the name.
If Enable Opt-out is set to yes, the user that goes to a form in the domain will receive a website tracking opt-out prompt and they can opt-out of the tracking if they choose. When saving, validation will run to ensure that the domain is ready to be used.
