greymatter Portal Event Calendar page is now compliant with the requirements of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 A/AA regulations. These specifications improve support for visually impaired users, and provide a more universally accessible experience.

  • Enhanced Keyboard Navigation: We've optimized keyboard navigation throughout the portal, making it easier for users who rely on keyboard inputs or screen readers to access and interact with all features seamlessly. The tab order is shown in the image.

  • Color and Contrast Improvements: We've enhanced color choices and contrast ratios for the calendar title, dates, and days to make content more readable, ensuring that information is easily discernible for users with vision impairments.

  • ARIA Roles and Attributes:

    • We've incorporated ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles and attributes to the following items

      • 1,2... 7 : Buttons

      • 8, 9... 26: Links

      • 12, 13... 15: Button

    • We've added ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) labels where necessary

      • 7: Added 'aria-label'

  • Clearer Text and Layout: We've increased the contrast and font sizes of the calendar title, and dates to ensure the content is clearly visible, and conveys the correct interactive state to the user.
