CRM/Portal: Retain : Course section: Couse section is visible when Course Section status is set to c

When creating a course, with a course section, users on the portal need to be able to see course sections with an 'Open' status. Course sections that are Closed, or Cancelled should not be visible. For example, a student registering for the Fall Semester, should not see course sections that were cancelled due to poor attendance.
The course section is not visible in the portal when course section status is set to closed in the CRM under retain work area.
